Don Rongstad is “Your Realtor” —and quite honestly the best realtor we have ever worked with. We started looking for a new vacation home that we could grow into that had more of what we were looking for – mountain view, larger living space, and more land so we weren’t looking into neighbors’ living rooms. Our initial realtor just wasn’t providing us with any options, and since we live in another state, all we could rely on was our own online research. Needless to say, we became frustrated. We were getting morning emails from an earlier inquiry to one of Don’s listings, so we called him and never looked back! Don immediately responded, we explained what we were looking for and by that night-which was Saturday -we had a full webpage specifically for us to review. One house in particular we liked and they were having an open house the next day. Again, being out of town, Don arranged his schedule to go to the open house and film for us so he could see if this would meet our needs. We actually Facetimed so we could see live the setting -which was (is) absolutely beautiful. We worked closely again for the next week to pick out sites to visit and came into town and set our day for house hunting. Don took us by the hand, handed us sell sheets on each property with pros / cons and notes pages and off we went. Ultimately we decided on the first house we saw (the one he filmed for us) and then the fun began. Don coached us on where we should offer, what we should request from the seller, and what we should expect back. We were extremely pleased with the settled price and after inspections we even received more money from the seller for fixes, and negotiated some items to be included. Don just took us by the hand and led the way and got us things we never even thought to ask for. On to the next item —our existing vacation home we needed to sell. Our original realtor basically told us we would never get our money back on the house as we had put in a new fence and made some other cosmetic improvements. Having closed on the house in November of 2016 we really only had a little over a year in the house and expected to barely breakeven. Don had a totally different opinion and he was right! Not only did we get what we put into the house, we closed for OVER our asking pricing with multiple offers. It takes connections, and marketing to get your property out there and Don does all of these to the extreme: video tours, marketing flyers, ads, etc. Your house is out there and offers fly in. All I can say is you will not find a more dedicated, trustworthy, hard working, and all around nice guy who will go over and way beyond to help you find your new home and or sell your property. He is simply the best.
