Journalist now selling real estate! I've been in Nevada since 1974, moving here to become manager of a small daily newspaper. In 1987, I began publishing the Las Vegas Bugle and, later, the Las Vegas Spectrum, the premier news outlets in the LGBTQ community for many years. I started the first feminist, lesbian, and gay bookstore in Nevada, co-founded gay pride and our first LGBTQ film festival. I reinvented the local LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce. I have volunteered in behavioral health care for over 16 years and, until recently, served as board chair for the state's largest non-profit mental health agency. I also serve on the board of an organization that provides housing for LGBTQIA+ vulnerable. I co-founded our local pride celebration, and have been involved in dozens of organizations, including health care.
